SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.00 g, 6 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris, circa 300-295. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΣEΛEΥKOΥ Athena, brandishing spear overhead in her right hand and holding shield in her left, standing right in quadriga of elephants moving to right; above to right, anchor right; above anchor, ΝΙ; in exergue, ΔΝ. SC 130.12b. A bold, nicely toned and well centered example. Light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
